The mission of the invasion is the careful recreation of the naval landing on the beaches of Omaha, Utah, swords and gold. Other missions are a mixture of themed and historical battles that challenge even the most skilled wargamers. From lush bocage and forests and fortified French North beaches where tanks are king, with strict urban environments where infantry units can rule all, Tank battles: Normandy requires players to be on top of their game!
Enjoyed the landing air, laying the tank bridge, the mine tanks, attacking the AVRE's, fireflies and kangaroos in the bunker. Typical mission objectives include; Escorting units, holding positions, capturing points, repairing units and, ever-popular, destroying enemy forces.
The game system represents a major upgrade of already successful machines used throughout the Tank battle series and enjoys a number of new features and improvements.
